Genetically modified cotton has turned cotton fields into the most environmentally detrimental of all crops as producers use more pounds of Round-up herbicide per acre than on any other crop. Organic cotton by definition is not allowed to be genetically engineered or be sprayed by herbicides or pesticides - that's a win-win!
